About the Organization

Stryker Sports is a Calgary-based youth sports organization delivering high-quality volleyball and basketball programs for athletes in Grades 1–12. With more than 60 programs across the city and over 2,000 athletes served each year, Stryker focuses on athlete development, community access, and creating positive sport experiences without the pressure or cost of traditional travel clubs.

Media&Motion partnered with Stryker Sports to document and amplify their programs across multiple touch points - from live events to long-form storytelling - while preserving the human, coach-led culture that defines their organization.

The Project

Stryker Sports needed a cohesive set of visual assets that could:

  • Clearly communicate their development pathway to families
  • Showcase coaching quality and athlete experience
  • Support registrations across seasons
  • Create long-term media assets usable across web, social, and internal communications

Our role was to bring structure, consistency, and story to a multi-event production - without disrupting the athlete or coach experience on the ground.

Our Approach

We led a full end-to-end production across basketball and volleyball programs, including game days and a multi-court coaching seminar. The focus was on real moments: coaches teaching, athletes learning, and families engaging - not staged content.

Production included:

  • Event photography capturing gameplay, coach-athlete interaction, and community atmosphere
  • Short-form vertical videos for program highlights, registration, and development pathways
  • Website introduction video designed for first-time visitors
  • YouTube brand film built around interviews and real b-roll
  • Live Instagram Stories and highlights during events for immediate engagement

All content was delivered with a clear structure so Stryker could use it immediately - and continue using it long after the events.

What We Helped Communicate

Without relying on heavy narration or marketing language, the content highlights:

  • A clear athlete development pathway (Ignite → Elevate → Amplify → Launchpad)
  • Programs designed for busy families (10-week sessions + summer camps)
  • High coaching standards (40+ trained coaches, SafeSport protocols)
  • Inclusive, community-based sport - no travel leagues, no cuts, no tryouts
  • Long-standing partnerships with KidSport Calgary, Sport Calgary, JumpStart, and FANS Foundation

The result is content that feels credible, accessible, and human - aligned with how families actually experience Stryker Sports.

The Outcome

Stryker Sports now has a complete media library that supports:

  • Website storytelling and first-impression trust
  • Seasonal registration campaigns
  • Coach recruitment and internal communication
  • Long-form storytelling for YouTube and presentations
  • Ongoing social content without starting from scratch each season

The project created clarity for families, confidence for coaches, and reusable assets for the organization’s continued growth.
